Rich Chien is a Senior Environmental Specialist and leads the Private Sector Green Building Program at San Francisco’s Department of the Environment. In this role, Mr. Chien works closely with government agencies, industry professionals and nonprofits to design and implement policies that improve the performance of the built environment. He is currently serving as Program Manager for San Francisco’s PACE program “GreenFinanceSF,” and is managing several federal grants to bring innovative financing for green retrofits of residential, commercial and nonprofit buildings. Previously, Mr. Chien led an industry stakeholder process to develop and help implement the city’s groundbreaking green building code for new construction, and recently completed a similar process for accelerating energy efficiency activities in commercial buildings. In his prior role with the city’s municipal green building program, Mr. Chien helped to implement its LEED® Silver ordinance for public buildings.

Ellen Choy is an organizer with the Mobilization for Climate Justice West, a grassroots coalition of Bay Area groups fighting for climate justice locally through direct action and movement building. Ellen has worked with youth in the Bay Area through leadership development programs, including the Environmental Service Learning Initiative. She's also helping to convene a young environmental justice leaders coalition called Youth 4 Climate Justice, and is cofounder of ChecktheWeather.net, a blog dedicated to young people of color redefining green. As a funk/soul/hip hop DJ, Ellen integrates music and art into all of her work, and uses music as a medium to communicate to young people.
Christensen has worked as the Environmental Outreach Coordinator for the Citizens Utility Board since January of last year. She educates consumers about energy savings and advocates for energy efficiency and renewable energy issues. She previously worked for the Environmental Law ; Policy Center as a Community Organizer for their Clean Cars campaign.

Cristi Christensen is the Director of Exhale Center for Sacred Movement in Venice, CA, where she is a passionate yoga teacher. Kevin holds a bachelors degree in social science from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his masters degree in business administration from Northwesterns Kellogg School of Business.
