Dr. Corinna Basler

Position: President

Corinna brings over 15 years of experience in international business strategy, marketing, branding, communications and CSR (worked in Europe, Asia and the United States) and holds a Ph.D in Business Science. She is deeply passionate about animals and has traveled to nearly hundred countries.

Karen Ferrel

Position: Partner and Sponsor Director

Karen joined Green Festival in 2011 and brings 20 years of sales, marketing and hospitality experience managing the Exhibit and Sponsorship sales team.

Bob Redding

Position: Operations Coordinator

Bob Redding spent most of his life living in working in the Charleston, SC Hospitality Industry. Bob is an Alumni of the College of Charleston, a beverage industry sales representative and Hotel/Restaurant General Manager prior to opening his first Restaurant in 1997.

Kristen Allen

Position: Head of US Sales

Kristen holds a BFA In Fine Arts and comes from 11 years of professional sales and tradeshow experience.

Neil Mork

Position: Business Development and Online Store Manager

Neil is a long time arts and music enthusiast with an admiration for creativity and outside of the box thinking.

Amelia Betts Maxham

Amelia-Betts, proud mother of two adorable kittens, serves as Green Festival’s Chief Morale Officer and resident Art Historian.

Lisa Landes

Position: Social Media and Marketing Director

Graduating from Kennesaw State University with an Organizational Communications Major I have experience in social media, marketing and event planning. I love hiking and anything that has to do with the outdoors, great vegetarian food and traveling to new places.

Miranda Weerheim

Miranda brings eight years of media and sponsorship sales to the Green Festivals team. She is thrilled to be part of such an amazing family and is excited about the future of Green Festivals.

Robert Butler

Position: National Programming Director

I have been very lucky to have built my career through a wide range of amazing industries that are passionate to me, from Symphony Orchestras to Academia; but, none are as passionate to me as the mission of Green Festival.

Bruce Browning

Position: Exhibit and Sponsor Sales and Relations

Bruce has an extensive sales background in the wine industry with a focus on organic vineyards. He is a native of Asheville NC and loves the outdoors. Bruce is dedicated in helping our streams and rivers flourish with our native brook trout. He is an avid outdoor person and animal lover. Bruce and his wife have three dogs and he enjoys meeting new people and establishing life long friendships.

Sarah Yerkey

Position: Exhibit and Sponsor Sales and Relations

Sarah brings over 10 years of business development, tradeshow, and public relations experience to Green Festivals. Sarah holds her BS in Marketing & Public Relations from the University of Kentucky and has enjoyed calling Asheville, NC home for over a decade. Sarah is a music, art, food and outdoors enthusiast and enjoys sharing those experiences with her husband and three year old little girl.

Molly Boyce

Position: Graphic Designer

Molly comes to us with six years of graphic design experience and a lifetime study of and passion for the visual arts. She graduated with a B.F.A in Art Education with a concentration in Painting and Drawing from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) and an Associates in Graphic Design and Advertising from Wake Technical Community college.

Sally Custer

Position: Portland Regional Director

Sally has established herself as a creative visionary and communications expert with access to top-ranked industry resources through her professional relationships and ongoing accomplishments spanning four decades.

Marielle Angell

Position: Partnership & Alliance Manager

Marielle is a long time community action enthusiast and very much enjoys connecting great people and organizations. She is completing her Masters of Science in Science of Sustainability Studies from the Lenoir Rhyne Center for Graduate Studies. 

Samantha Marie

Position: Volunteer Director

Born and raised in Washington, D.C, Samantha Marie came aboard the team in 2014 as Assistant Manager of Volunteers. Samantha resides in New York City where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s in Architecture at the Academy of Art University.

Position: IT Administrator, Asheville Digital Lifestyle

Jensen Gelfond of Asheville Digital Lifestyle provides technology setup, support and training at the Green Festivals home office in Asheville.

Jim Golden

Position: Head of Controlling

Jim brings over thirty years of experience in accounting, finance and human resource to Green Festival. He specializes in reporting, budgeting, analysis, auditing, and event reporting.

Tamara Diamond

Position: San Francisco Regional Director

Tamara is a California native and long-time Green Festival enthusiast. She is a connector and bridge-builder who enjoys meeting people across multiple industries while growing the green (and socially responsible) economy.

Amy Galper

Position: New York City, NY Regional Director

Amy has been passionately engaged with essential oils and natural beauty for over 12 years. She is the owner of Buddha Nose, an award winning yoga-inspired brand of mind-body-beauty products and Executive Director of the New York Institute of Aromatherapy.

Pascale Coupal-Sikes

Position: Los Angeles Regional Director

Pascale Coupal-Sikes has been involved with Green Festival since 2011. She was born and raised in Los Angeles and received her B.A. at UC San Diego in Psychology and Environmental Studies. Fluent in Spanish, she studied permaculture in Costa Rica.

Karen has been a strategic and experiential marketing consultant for the past seventeen years, having done work for company icons, large arts organizations, AIDS/HIV causes, and elementary education.

For nearly 30 years, Alisa Gravitz has led Green America, the national green economy organization. Ms. Gravitz is a leading expert on how families and businesses can “go green,” saving money and resources. She is also a nationally recognized leader in the social investment industry. She authored Green America’s acclaimed Guide to Social Investing, with over a million copies in print and the popular Guide to Community Investing.

Denise Hamler is the director and co-founder of the Green Business Network at Green America. She has held senior marketing and publications positions and launched social media programs such as Green Deals, the successful green GROUP.ON. She serves as the publisher for Green America’s publications: The National Green Pages and Green American magazine.

Kevin Danaher - Position: Co-Founder, Global Exchange

Dr. Kevin Danaher is the Executive Director of Friends of SF Environment, the non-profit arm of the San Francisco Department of Environment. He is a co-founder of Global Exchange (1988) and co-founder of FairTradeUSA (1997). His 1985 PhD in sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz was based on his dissertation, “The Political Economy of U.S. Policy Toward South Africa.”
