Jessica Aldridge



Jessica Aldridge is a planning member of Tar Sands Action - Southern California. In December 2011, as Executive Director for the Burbank Green Alliance, she collaborated with WilderUtopia to host the LA screening of "Tipping Point - The End of Oil" followed by a discussion with Canadian First Nations Actress/Activist - Tantoo Cardinal and Tar Sands Action/350.org Organizer - Rae Breaux. Jessica continues to work on inspiring grassroots activism to stop the largest industrial project in human history, while encouraging planet-friendly lifestyles to help heal the impact from our fossil fuel addiction.

As a Zero Waste and Resource Management Specialist, Jessica works with businesses, schools and cities to provide next-step solutions in environmental sustainability. She plays many roles in the community including Executive Director for Burbank Green Alliance, Professor of Recycling and Resource Management at Santa Monica College, Sustainability Manager for a local recycling and waste hauler. During her tenure with the Burbank Green Alliance, Jessica developed and coordinated successful, solution-oriented outreach programs - including industry workshops, business training courses, environmental film series, business networking events, and art reuse programs.

Jessica was recognized in 2010 for excellence in Environment/Energy Efficiency at the 11th Annual Women in Business Legislative Update and Awards, awarded by Senator Carol Liu and Assemblymember Anthony Portantino. In 2011, she received her industry certification from the California Resource & Recovery Association.
