Navy Pier is accessible via a wide variety of public transportation options and also offers on-site parking.

BICYCLE

We encourage you to arrive green by riding your bicycle!  Green Festival will provide a secure and complimentary bike valet.  Each attendee who utilizes the Green Festival bike valet will receive a voucher redeemable for $5 off registration.  We would like to thank Armitage Bike Shop for their support and management of the bike valet.

Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 9am to 9pm
Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 10am to 7pm

Location:  Inside Navy Pier, go up the escalators (or use one of the many elevators) to Level Two – follow the signs to Room 201/202.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Public transportation offers visitors an affordable and convenient way to get to and from Navy Pier.

CTA Bus
The CTA provides six bus lines with more than 200 buses that serve Navy Pier daily.
#29 (State Street)
#65 (Grand Avenue), which is equipped with bike racks
#66 (Chicago Avenue)
#124 Navy Pier

During weekday rush hours:
#120 (Northwestern/Wacker Express), serving the Ogilvie Transportation Center
#121 (Union/Wacker Express) serves Navy Pier and their respective METRA train terminals

Running every 15 minutes from Union Station and the Ogilvie Transportation Center, busses operate 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Metra Train
Metra commuter rail is a convenient travel alternative. On weekends and select holidays, up to 3 children under 12 can travel free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. The CTA's #124 bus provides convenient and direct service from Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station to Navy Pier.

Three sightseeing bus lines stop and pick up at Navy Pier's front entrance:

VIA CAR

  • From the north, take Lake Shore Drive (US 41) to the Grand Avenue exit.
  • From the northwest, take the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) to the Ohio Street Exit, south on Orleans to Illinois Street and proceed east.
  • From the west, take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) to Columbus Drive, north to Illinois Street and proceed east.
  • From the southwest, take the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) to Lake Shore Drive (US 41), north to Illinois Street and proceed east.
  • From the south, take the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94) east to the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) to Lake Shore Drive (US 41), north to Illinois Street and proceed east.
  • From the southeast, take Lake Shore Drive (US 41) north to the Illinois Street exit.



By Taxi
Navy Pier has three convenient taxi drop-off and pick-up points:

  • West end of Navy Pier, serving Dock Street and the Family Pavilion
  • At the mid-point, Entrance 1 serves the west end of Festival Hall, RIVA, and WBEZ Radio
  • Entrance 2 serves the east end of Festival Hall, the Grand Ballroom and the Navy Pier Beer Garden
