Kiva B4B Project

The Kiva B4B Project is a collaboration between Kiva and Advanta Bank Corp. It encourages U.S.-based businesses customers of Advanta to make grants to Kiva entrepreneurs through a matching grant program. Advanta was started in 1951 with $30 in seed money. Jack Alter, a Philadelphia school teacher, wanted to help fellow teachers get access to capital. Advanta learned early on that an entrepreneur with a little bit of money can change the world.
