Check out our beautiful, well-made, and functional rayon chenille scarves, shawls, jackets, wallets, handbags, and other items hand-woven on backstrap looms by a Mayan women’s worker cooperative in Guatemala. One of the weavers will be present to demonstrate this ancient tradition. Through your purchases, you will help over 200 Mayan women increase their weaving income by more than double what they would make in their local market. Most of the women have been terribly affected (e.g., widowed) by the 30-year-plus political repression of indigenous people by the military government.
