Calling all Media Savvy Volunteers! Broadcast the Green Festival to the world!

The Volunteer Media Team is a special crew of volunteers that assist in the multi-media capture of all aspects of the Green Festival. We utilize photography, video, and audio recording to share the Green Festival experience with the world. We welcome professionals, students, and hobbiests. Camera equipment or not, we have roles for you. Below is all the information you need to get started. I look forward to meeting you all soon!

Volunteer Requirements

• must work at least one 4-hour shift, more are encouraged!
• must supply your own equipment (not all jobs require equipment)
• must attend a pre-festival meeting, usually the evening before the event.
• must deliver final media to Green Festivals.
  • video: produce and upload to YouTube, share embed code
  • photos: select 'best of' shots and mail high res CD/DVDs
  • audio: no delivery needed

Volunteer Media Teams

Photo Team: Digital Photographers wanted to capture Green Festivals in action! Focus on a particular stage with a telephoto lens or roam around and take photos with any digital 5+ megapixel camera.

Audio Team: Record the presenters with iPods supplied by Green Festival. Get a chance to listen deeply to the messages of the Green Festival speakers.

Video Team: Capture the Green Festival experience through video and put it up on the web with YouTube for the world to watch. Get your name out there as a green-indy-producer.

Registration and Pre-event Instructions

1. Fill out the form below and submit
2. 1-2 weeks before the festival you will emailed your shift information. You must reply with a confirmation of your role and shift(s).
3. After we get your confirmation, we'll then email you a full Volunteer Information Kit.
4. Attend the Volunteer Media Team Pre-Event Meeting. Here you'll get to meet the team, and learn what to expect over the weekend. This meeting will be short, informal, and fun.
5. Finally, just show up at your agreed upon shift times, check-in with the Team Captain, and have a great time!
