 DeGraaf will explore the role of economy as he introduces a new national campaign that compares economic policies in the U.S. to those in other rich countries. How are these countries stacking up when it comes to the areas of health, justice, sustainability and quality of life? You will also find out how policies that address overwork can, in fact, improve health, social relationships and the environment.
DeGraaf is president of the Take Back Your Time campaign, and is also a documentary filmmaker and coauthor of Affluenza: the All-Consuming Epidemic. What's the Economy for Anyway? This country has been dominated by a mind set that places a higher priority on GDP than on quality of life, social justice and sustainability. de Graaf will share why these priorities should be reversed.
