 Daniel Block is the coordinator of the Fred Blum Neighborhood Assistance Center and is currently finishing final analysis of the Northeastern Illinois Community Food Security Assessment.
Panel: Urban Food Access
Access to nutrition education and healthy food is vital to achieve social justice. These panelists will present urban agriculture projects in Englewood, and discuss how to establish a link between current projects and the creation of a green business district with green jobs. They will also cover an in-depth study of food access in the Chicago area and how it will encourage healthy, equitable communities around Chicago.
