Saturday 2:30pm BRAD: One More Night on the Barricades (55 min.)When Mexican paramilitary forces shot Brad Will in the chest, killing him, his camera fell from his hands. But it didn’t stop recording. It continued moving from hand to hand, telling Brad’s story, as well as the story of the activist movements in which he was involved. From the squats of New York to the forests of Oregon, from the anti-globalization protests in Seattle, Prague and Quebec to the popular uprising in Oaxaca, Brad’s camera captures a stirring image of his life and the change so many of his friends continue to strive to make happen. 4:00pm Young Arabs (25 min.) Muslim and Christian boys attending an elite preparatory school in the heart of Cairo offer thoughts on God, pop culture, terrorism, marriage, the Middle East and more. 5:00pm Before Spring (15 min.) Produced in association with Chicago Magazine, Before Spring is an ensemble film following the lives of five visionary eco-innovators in Chicago. 5:30pm Raw Reality – Reversing Diabetes Naturally (91 min.) Raw Reality is a film that chronicles six McDonald’s-munching Americans with diabetes who switch to a diet consisting entirely of vegan, organic, live, raw foods in order to reverse diabetes naturally. They are challenged to give up meat, dairy, sugar, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, junk food, processed food, packaged food, and even cooked food—as well as go without their loved ones and many of their creature comforts— for 30 days.
