Dammed in the early 1900s, it could be restored to the same splendor as its neighbor, Yosemite Valley. This recently remade film (the original won Best Short at 2006 Wild & Scenic Film Festival), now featuring actor Harrison Ford, tells the story of the Hetch Hetchy Valley and the campaign to restore it. Seeds, Hope and Concrete (U.S., 2006, Documentary, 14min) Will Hommeyer, Heifer International Arugula, squash, snap peas, all grown on concrete? Is this possible? This uncommon scenario is cropping all over the U.S. due to the efforts of Heifer International.
