Bayuk is a Permaculture Designer interested in designing sustainable human living systems that abundantly meet all of our needs while enhancing the environment in which we live, wonder and play. He is an active member of the Urban Alliance for Sustainability, participates with Daily Acts and Bay Localize and is excited about permaculture and non-violent communication. Panel: Global Concerns, Local Actions What is localization, and how can it help restore community economic decisionmaking, moderate climate change, decrease alienation, create green jobs and build social equity? This participatory session will explore this question. Learn what communities can do to address global issues, support locally-owned businesses and farms, and meet more of their needs—such as food, mobility, energy and culture—near home.
