A state-licensed journeyman electrician, Belfrey is outreach coordinator for GRID Alternatives, a nonprofit that provides free solar panel installations for lowincome homeowners.Belfrey was first introduced to solar panel Installations as a Local #6 electrician's apprentice. Her passion for social, economic and environmental justice motivated her to pursue a career in renewable energy. She is a member of San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's Citizens Advisory Committee to the Hunter's Point Shipyard, a consultant to the Port of Oakland's Social Justice Committee as a Construction Job Retention Specialist and recently formed her own company, Sustainable Futures Consulting Services, to further advance disadvantaged communities socially, economically and environmentally.
