 Russell Klein is the Community Environmental Education Specialist with the D.C. Department of Public Works Office of Recycling (DPW/OR). With an emphasis on the District of Columbia’s recycling regulations and services, Russell visits local businesses and schools giving presentations designed to raise the level of awareness of his audience about matters of environmental sustainability, waste management and recycling program implementation.
His audiences range from corporate leaders, to commercial business
operators and vendors, to a wide range of students and classrooms. He
represents the Office of Recycling (DPW) as an active participant in
groups such as the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, the
US EPA’s Region 3 Resource Conservation Challenge, and Washington, DC’s
many Business Improvement Districts (BIDs).
