ImageAn entrepreneur at heart and an advocate of following one’s true passion, Warren Brown opened CakeLove in March of 2002 after leaving a successful career as a federal attorney litigating health care fraud for the Department of Health and Human Services. After the birth of CakeLove on 1506 U St., NW, Washington, D.C., Love Café was opened directly across the street and just recently, another CakeLove on 935 Ellsworth Dr., Silver Spring, MD joined the CakeLove family.

 

Recognized as an “…outstanding business leader and a dynamic manager…” by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the recipient of the 2006 Small Business Person of the Year Award in Washington, D.C., Mr. Brown remains focused not only on providing the most delicious tasting cakes and pastries but also diligently participates in charitable work on both the local and national levels.

Mr. Brown received his Bachelors of Art in History from Brown University in 1993 and went on to receive his Juris Doctor and a Masters in Public Health at the George Washington University in 1998. He currently hosts Sugar Rush, a 30-minute program airing on the Food Network in more than 87 million homes across the country, while attending to the bakery and experimenting with new products.
