The Ford Community Green Grant encourages local non-profit organizations and community leaders to submit their sustainable, forward-thinking ideas to improve the environment or quality of life in their local community. These ideas will be reviewed by Ford Motor Company and the Green Festivals with the winner earning $5,000 to impact their community. No idea is too small or too big, but to be considered, and idea must be local, innovative and actionable. Before each Green Festival opening, a panel from Green festivals and Ford Motor company will select a group of finalists whose proposals will be presented in the Ford Pavilion at each Green Festival. Festival attendees will then be able to vote for their favorite project proposal. Votes will be tallied onsite, and the project proposal with the most votes will be announced as the Ford Community Green Grant winner on the final afternoon of the Green Festival.
