Michelle Gaither


Gaither is an environmental engineer with the Pollution Prevention Resource Center, a nonprofit working to reduce environmental impacts from industry and government.Gaither also volunteers with CoolMom's West Seattle chapter and a few other environment and service organizations.Gaither workson projects to reduce toxics, wastes, and energy and water use. In the toxics arena, Gaither conducts toxics footprints for industrial and residential settings, researches alternatives to the use of hazardous materials or products, and develops outreach regarding toxics reduction. Gaither is currently working toward certification in greenhouse gas accounting through the GHG Management Institute.Gaither also works fervently to implement recycling and composting programs where needed, including a successful recycling and composting program at her children's elementary school. Gaither holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and M.S. in Environmental Science.Gaither lives with her husband and children in West Seattle, WA.
