The Heartland is a Cafe, music venue, and community located in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. Founded in 1968, the Heartland's mission has been to provide healthy food with vegetarian options made with socially conscious ingredients- as well as an inspiring enviroment for activists, poets, progressives, musicians, and artists. In addition to the Cafe, the Heartland offers the Red Line Tap Tavern, Heartland by the Lake Beach Stand, and the No Exit Theatre.
