Celebrate Youth Leaders, Arts, Music and Culture

Also, be sure to visit the Green Kids' Zone and participate in fun artistic and musical performances throughtout the weekend.

Celebrate the work of our young environmental and social justice leaders!

Join Destiny Arts Youth Performance Company for a musical performance on the Main Stage, Saturday at 3:45pm. Then, head to the Ben & Jerry's Community Action Pavilion at 4:30pm for an interactive workshop exploring social issues through movement, theater games and group building exercises. Come prepared to move your body, speak your truth and act from the heart.

Submit Your Idea for the Chance to Receive a $5,000 Community Green Grant at San Francisco Green Festival

Ford Motor Company and Green Festival are awarding one $5,000 Community Green Grant at San Francisco Green Festival this year! No idea is too small or too big, but to be considered, the idea must be local, innovative and actionable.

The Community Green Grant encourages local non-profit organizations and community leaders to submit their sustainable, forward-thinking ideas to improve the environment or quality of life in their local community.

Los Angeles Green Festival Continues Sunday

mayorlaLos Angeles Green Festival continues today, Sunday October 29th, at the LA Convention Center. Doors open at 11am! Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday and made Saturday an fantastic day and a wonderful welcome of Green Festival to the incredible city of Los Angeles. If you didn't make it to the LA Convention Center yesterday, head on down today for a brand new day of fun at Green Festival!

Los Angeles Green Festival is This Weekend!

overview-IMG_7436-350Get ready, because the Los Angeles Green Festival is this weekend, October 29-30 at the Los Angeles Convention Center!

Discounted tickets are still available online. The deadline for you to purchase your discount online tickets is Friday October 28th at 5pm PST. You can also purchase your tickets at the box office on Saturday and Sunday.

Ride your bike and use the Bike Valet, or take public transportation for FREE admission at the door! Students with ID and seniors also receive free admission. Green Festival is at the Los Angeles Convention Center, located at 1201 South Figueroa Street. If you take the Metro Rail Blue Line, exit at Pico Station on Flower. The Bike Valet is located off of Figueroa St, under the glass awning of the South Hall main entrance. For further directions to the convention center, visit the Travel Page.

NextAid Sustainable Groove Stage


NextAid, using the beats of our generation to provide hope for the next! Yes, you CAN combine fun, beats, dancing, and social change into one experience! Come hang out at the music stage and check out performances from local talented musicians, singer/songwriters, and DJs that will create a sustainable groove for Green Festival goers…all weekend long. NextAid has put together a diverse line-up with headlining LA’s favorites DJ’s Jeremy Sole (KCRW) and Dj Nnamdi (KPFK)!

Get Hands-On With DIY Demos

DIYDemoSome things are just better when you do them yourself! The enthusiasm to DIY is on the rise as folks return to the roots of earlier generations to create household cleaners, decorate households, maintain gardens and more without the use of commercial products and services.

At Green Festival, the motto for any idea is - "if there's a will - there's a way." Innovation and creativity will certainly be on display at the brand new DIY Demo Area! Ready to get your hands dirty? This tent is completely interactive, relying on audience participation as much as presenter expertise!

Seed to Fork, Green Careers, Environmental Justice - Special Program Tracks

seedtoforkThere is always an abundance of interesting topics to discuss and presentations to hear at Green Festival. Sometimes making your program schedule can be a little overwhelming, particularly when there is do much to do and see!

This Fall in San Francisco, Green Festival is introducing special program tracks - presentations concentrating on one area of interest and expanding upon that interest across several stages and pavilions.

These brand new programming tracks include "Seed to Fork," "Green Careers" and "Social Justice."

Vegan, Vegetarian, Raw and More - Cooking Demos at the Good Food Stage

goodfood2What's that smell? It's the smell of delicious flavors rising up from the Good Food Stage, where you can participate with local chefs and culinary extraordinaires to create healthy and delicious cuisine that the whole family will enjoy!

Beginning with breakfast, the Good Food Stage will also feature live demos on gluten free cooking, raw foods, vegan junk food, pickling and preserving, brewing your own kombucha and much more!

greenbizpavGreen America's Green Business Pavilion is the place to go for expert advice from professionals who have successfully launched and continue to own and operate green businesses and organizations throughout the nation. They will share their mistakes, successes and valuable lessons they have learned along their road to becoming green entrepreneurs.

The Green Business Pavilion will host two days of presentations, including how to make your green business "bankable" and the effects of California's green policies on small businesses, as well as exploring Green America's new GreenGain business certification system and much more. Special presentations also include mapping out your green career with Kevin Danaher and Tex Dworkin, as well as a Bay Area Networking Session hosted by SF Green Drinks, Eco Tuesday and Green Jobs Network.
