The Rio Earth Summit in June, 2012 will address seven critical issues facing humanity today – Jobs, Energy, Cities, Food, Water, Oceans, and Natural Disasters. Activitsts, experts and community leaders are currently converging in "the Road to Rio +20," as they discuss the manner and means by which we will approach these urgent issues at the upcoming summit, and what solutions are necessary to reverse the impact of each critical issue.

Always a Green Festival favorite, Amy Goodman is a speaker not to be missed. An award-winning journalist, Goodman breaks through corporate media lies, sound-bites and silence with passionate reporting, and illuminates ordinary people who are standing up and speaking out. Check out a special preview of some of the important topics Amy will cover in her talk today.

It's a call to action from iconic voices across several movements and mediums, with one common goal: to push for a national imperative to get money out of politics! Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King's vision of economic justice, a coalition from the hip hop and entertainment community, social justice, Occupy Wall Street and progressive media come together to discuss constitutional amendments on money and politics, the big issues surrounding Citizens United, and mobilization on those issues in 2012 and beyond.

Vote for your favorite local nonprofit idea to win the $5,000 Ford Community Green Grant
Today is the last day to head to the Ford Pavilion and vote for your favorite local nonprofit finalist to win a $5,000 community Green Grant. Every vote could make the difference for these wonderful organizations so head over to hear their ideas and cast your vote. The grant will be awared at 5pm in the Ford Pavilion.

The Big Fix - Special Screening and Panel discussion
If you caught our special preview of the 2012 Festival de Cannes selected film,The Big Fix, and want to see more, a special screening and panel discussion will be held at 7pm this evening at the Helen Mills Theatre, hosted by Green Festivals.
