The Sierra Club petitioned the California Supreme Court to overturn the license for the Calico Solar Energy Project because it would harm desert tortoise and other wildlife. California Unions for Reliable Energy, a labor group, filed a similar petition. Calico is a 663.5 megawatt (MW) solar power project.”
