Seattle Green Festival 2011

“The sun disappeared and it was back to another rainy day in Seattle. Which made it a perfect day to enjoy some indoor activity such as the 4th annual Seattle Green Festival! This year the festival moved to a new venue, inside Qwest Field Event Center.

I’ve been volunteering and attending the festival since its first year. I’m so happy to be able to participate again this year. What a great event to be able to meet so many people who care about the environment.”

Green Festival: Interview with Zoe Weil

“In this post, I have a confession to make.
In addition to viewing films, I have also starting creating my own films. Of course, I have already posted some short little films I made at the AIFF (American Indian Film Festival) in an earlier film.

Today I attended the Green Festival in Seattle. While I was there I met and interviewed Zoe Weil, founder of the Institute of Humane Education. She kindly allowed me to film her while I interviewed her. Zoe was a guest speaker at the Green Festival in Seattle on May 21, 2011.”

Dennis Kucinich visits UW campus

“Never sell out, never worry about losing and never quit. That’s Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich’s advice for students interested in a career in politics that he shared on campus this past weekend.

“You don’t need many people to change the world,” Kucinich said toUW students. “Don’t wait to be invited to get involved.”

As part of his weekend of public appearances in Washington, which included a fundraiser for Democrats in Woodinville and the Seattle Green Festival in downtown Seattle, Kucinich made a stop at the UW to answer questions from students.”

Kucinich's return to state fuels talk he may relocate here

“Kucinich would be legally eligible to run in Washington state in 2012 as long as he moved here and registered to vote before the filing period that spring.

Odds are, local voters will be seeing more of him between now and then.

In addition to the Woodinville appearance, Kucinich participated in a bank protest in Seattle on Saturday, and he was scheduled to speak to student groups at the University of Washington in the evening.

On Sunday, Kucinich is to speak at a pancake-brunch fundraiser in Shoreline for the 32nd Legislative District Democrats before heading to Qwest Field, where he is a featured speaker at the ongoing Seattle Green Festival.”
