Focus on the critical topic of Overpopulation.
Population Connection, Monterey Bay Chapter is part of a national nonprofit organization working to stop population growth and achieve a sustainable balance between people and natural resources. We seek to protect the environment and ensure a high quality of life for present and future generations. In order to ultimately achieve this, the birthrate needs to come down. Our education and advocacy programs aim to influence public policies, attitudes, and behaviors toward lowering our population size, and inform the public about the consequences of continued growth.

Preventing HIV through Economic Development
The Ihangane Project sells beautiful handmade crafts produced by two women's associations in rural Rwanda. We purchase the crafts at a fair trade price, and return 100% of the profits to the women after resale. TIP supports grassroots projects that address the challenges faced by rural communities impacted by HIV.
