The Route 1 Farmers Market & Bazaar is located in the dynamic Prince George’s County Gateway Arts District at 4100 Rhode Island Avenue in Brentwood, MD. The site, formerly the B&J Auto Lot, is currently owned by the Prince George’s County Redevelopment Authority and slated for development by Landex Companies. Gateway Community Development Corporation (CDC) is spearheading this project as part of the Art Lives Here intitative, a visbility campaign funded by ArtPlace America to Joe’s Movement Emporium. Route 1 Farmers Market & Bazaar Opens June 6 – November 1, 2014 B&J Auto Lot | 4100 Rhode Island Ave | Brentwood, MD 20722 Friday – 4pm – 7pm and Saturday – 8am – 1pm The Route 1 Farmer’s Market & Bazaar is a wonderful new venue for community members to obtain a wide range of fresh and prepared foods and unique crafts. The market is seen as an important public space where residents and visitors to the region can mingle, support local farmers, local small entrepreneurial businesses and the local creative economy.
