Gregory Berlowitz

Gregory Berlowitz, founder of Chicago Cooperative, is a passionate supporter of sustainable urban and rural food production, and an advocate for healthier and more just communities. He was formerly an environmental attorney for two Chicago law firms. Before law school, he worked as a waiter at several Chicago restaurants such as Harvest on Huron, Everest, and Blackbird. Currently, he is on the CPS School Food Parent Food Advisory Committee, and is part of the advisory council and leadership group for Ruby Garden in Schreiber Park. Greg lives with his family in Rogers Park. His wife is the education director of a cooperative pre-school and his two children attend CPS schools.
