Green Festival Speakers
Vinnie Bevivino is the director of Urban Agriculture Operations at Engaged Community Offshoots, an urban farm in Prince Georges County, Maryland. He is dedicated to researching, promoting, and demonstrating an alternative to how we feed our communities and ourselves, working for improved economic development and social justice. He earned a degree in environmental science, concentrating in soil science, from the University of Maryland, with an eye toward working for the advancement of community development. Vinnie is a graduate of the Growing Power Commercial Urban Agriculture Program, and now teaches Commercial Urban Agriculture at Prince George's Community College. When he's not growing, cooking, or eating food, you can find him on his bike, playing drums, or working on various printed arts projects.
