Anneke Campbell

Anneke Campbell has worked as a midwife, practical nurse, prenatal yoga teacher and college teacher of creative writing and English literature. She is a founding member of Transition Los Angeles and an active participant in Transition Mar Vista Venice. Transition Los Angeles (TLA) is a group of local grassroots residents who are preparing their communities for a positive outcome through the sweeping changes coming with global warming, peak oil and economic contraction. Anneka has scripted and produced a number of documentaries, including the television series The Freedom Files, based on ACLU cases, as well as an Emmy Award-winning drama, A Day with the Concord Writers. She co-wrote with Thomas Linzey a manual for activists called Be the Change: How to Get What You Want in Your Community, and she edited an anthology with Bioneers co-founder Nina Simons on women’s leadership, called Moonrise: The Power of Women Leading from the Heart
