Alli Chagi-Starr



Alli Chagi-Starr is the Founder/Director of ArtiVISTA Consulting, where she works with national and community leaders to amplify the impact of campaigns and events for social transformation. Her passion is bringing powerful, visionary people together to uplift each other, create equity in our communities and leverage projects that defend and honor life. She is currently serving as the Regional Director of the San Francisco Green Festival.

Alli was a leader in the green jobs movement at Green For All and the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, where she produced the Social Equity Track at the United Nations World Enviroment Day in San Francisco, initiated the Solutions Salon series and chaired the historic Dream Reborn Conference. She served as the Grassroots Publicity Manager for Van's Jones bestselling books, The Green Collar Economy and Rebuild the Dream.

Alli served as the Artist Liaison for Prison Radio, and was a Co-founder of Art and Revolution, Another World is Possible Road Shows, the Radical Performance Fest, Dancers Without Borders, Art in Action Youth Leadership Program and United Roots, Oakland's Green Youth Arts and Media Center. Her essays about creative activism have appeared in several publications. Alli facilitates workshops and offers presentations on the power cultural organizing, ensemble-building, eco-justice and movement building.

Alli is a proud new mother to a magical little boy, Akai.
