Paula Daniels is a commissioner with the Los Angeles Board of Public Works, which is responsible for the infrastructure of the City of Los Angeles. She provides leadership in the area of sustainable water policy, including watershed and urban runoff management, groundwater recharge and water re-use. Commissioner Daniels was recently appointed to the City of LA Food Policy Task Force, which will provide a report and recommendations on city food policy and a foodshed assessment. It will conduct research on topics including food access, sustainable agriculture and pesticide use, nutrition education programs and urban/rural community relationships. For over 20 years, Daniels has been actively involved in California environmental policy issues in large part due to her longtime and close involvement with the Heal the Bay. Daniels was also commissioner with the California Coastal Commission, and a gubernatorial appointee on the governing board of the California Bay-Delta Authority.
