Dillon is the founder of Organic Seed Alliance (OSA) and the Alliance's first executive director from 20032007. Dillon currently works as OSA's Director of Advocacy, with a focus on issues of intellectual property and farmers' rights, consolidation and competition in the seed industry, genetic contamination, and the principles, values and benefits of organic seed systems. Dillon helped launch the first publicprivate organic breeding program in the US, working with a major organic food processor on nutritional value of spinach. In 2006 Dillon received a Lannan Foundation Fellowship for his work creating communitybased seed systems. Dillon has also worked as an advisor for Del Monte, Seeds of Change, Clif Bar Family Foundation, Family Farmer Seed Cooperative, Organization for Competitive Markets, Max Seeds, North Olympic Seed Growers Network, and United Nations Development Programme's Africa 2015 Initiative. Prior to OSA, Dillon was the Executive Director of Abundant Life Seed Foundation, an organic farmer, and a seed producer.
