Tamara Henry



Tamara Henry lives in the heart of the tsunami zone of Venice Beach and has devoted her entire life to the journey of health & wellness, mind/body/spirit/earth and her mission is to combine spirituality with entertainment.

Tamara has been walking her talk, living car free in autocentric Los Angeles since 2001. This year her eco TV show about public transportation, carpooling and green trivia "Metro Motion" received a nomination at the 64th Los Angeles Area Emmys. Tamara is best knows for her feel-good community news on Santa Monica City TV Channel 16. "Santa Monica Update" airs every day at 9am, noon, 6pm & 10:30 pm. She is also a reality TV personality, and this summer took home $6000 in cash and prizes when she won the "ex beauty queen" episode of RuPaul's Drag U on LOGO. She has more transformational television reality show appearances lined up for 2013. Tamara tells us why it's important to weave environmental messages into her programming and how she keeps it up as a conscious content creator and social media maven.

Tamara has been the red carpet host for the "Night of 100 Stars" Oscar watch party since 2005, after her successful spiritual entertainment talk show "IN with Tamara Henry" which focused on directors, producers and actors of enlightening entertainment. Tamara went on to form her own film production company Vanilla Fire. In 2010 her documentary Unbeaten made the Oscar Shortlist for the 83rd Academy Awards and was named one of the Top 10 Olympic Films of all time by TIME magazine. Her films have been narrated by Dan Aykroyd, Ed Harris and the one narrated by Kelsey Grammer is currently being considered for a nomination in the documentary category for 2013.
