Committed to self-empowering community finance, Arno Hesse co-founded the crowdfunding service Credibles (“edible credits” – for local food) and the buy-local program Bernal Bucks in San Francisco. A founding member and leader in Slow Money, Arno invests in sustainable food ventures. Arno Hesse has over 25 years of experience in executing market strategies for technology and finance companies, e.g. as Executive Vice President for Retail Markets at Union Bank. Arno is proud of his leadership successes in activism and volunteer work in nine countries. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley. Having grown up in Europe, he is easily distracted by typography and new ice cream flavors.
