Jordan Howard


Jordan Howard is a 19-year-old sophomore at Santa Monica College. At the age of 15 she transformed from an eco-resistant rebel to a sustainability educator. Jordan was inspired when she learned about the solutions to climate change and the importance of living a sustainable lifestyle. She has directed environmental films and spoken to thousands of youth and adults about sustainability, education and youth empowerment. Jordan opened for Hilary Clinton at the nation’s first carbon neutral political fundraiser for President Obama’s election campaign, and was keynote speaker for the City of L.A.’s International Environmental Youth Conference. Jordan is the editor of the book, Green My Parents, which trains kids to teach their parents how to save money while living sustainably. Jordan has been featured in the book, Girls Gone Green, and honored by The U.S. Green Building Council, The Weather Channel, California State Assembly, The Tavis Smiley Foundation and more.
