Ian Kim



Ian Kim works at the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights as Director of the GreenCollar Jobs Campaign. He advocates for policies statewide in California and locally in the city of Oakland to create greencollar jobs, especially for lowincome young adults and those with barriers to employment. Greencollar jobs are quality, careertrack, manual labor jobs in industries like renewable energy, water and energy efficiency, and green building. Ian serves on the Oakland Workforce Investment Board and was ViceChair of the Oakland Oil Independence Task Force. He also serves on the Steering Committees of the California Apollo Alliance and the California EDGE Campaign, and is the coordinator of the California Green Stimulus Coalition. Ian holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
