Suzanne Ludlum

The founder and Executive Director of All Ah We/All of Us, Suzanne Ludlum is teacher with Oakland Unified School District, teaching family literacy and ecology in East Oakland. She is an expert in organic gardening and soil remediation — utilizing the principles and concepts of permaculture design. Suzanne is currently facilitating both ArribaCycle and the Stonehurst Edible Schoolyard (a 12,000 square foot permaculture forest on the Stonehurst Campus). She was a featured presenter in the Bay Friendly Garden Tour 2010 – displaying her garden’s grey water and water catchment systems, tree guilds, compost tea, and other aspects of sustainable urban farming. Suzanne is committed to building sustainable and resilient communities!

ArribaCycle is a small collective of low-income Latino parents from East Oakland who want to do their part to save the planet and to raise funds for their community — one bag at a time. They transform throwaway plastic into beautiful accessories. ArribaCycle is a program of All Ah We/All of Us and is based on the vision of “woman-made, living wage, and sustainable.” Suzanne Ludlum is the facilitator and a founding member of the collective. She helps to scavenge plastic and to design new products for the collective to consider as part of their product line.
