Jennifer Mackley

Jennifer Mackley is a local attorney and has worked as an advocate for the homeless and in national hunger organizations, such as Foodchain, for the past 20 years. Since moving to West Seattle she has served on the MMRS/LEPC (Metropolitan Medical Response System/Local Emergency Planning Committee) to help coordinate regional catastrophic planning efforts between government agencies, environmental and citizen groups, industry and emergency response officials.

In 2005, Jennifer developed a neighborhoodbased preparedness program for 5,000 people in King County that has been adapted for use in communities throughout the country. Her expertise in emergency preparedness was developed through her work with the Humanitarian Service Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.
