Eric Maundu was raised on a traditional farm in Kenya where he learned the balance of traditional practices and modern technologies. Experience in these farming methods led him to study engineering. He spent 10 years designing different projects using local materials before moving to the Bay Area for further education.
An engineer by profession, he has been working on alternative farming projects in Kenya where traditional practices are integrated with modern technologies using local materials. Aquaponics has been his hobby for the last 8 years, and he has successfully applied aquaponics and other alternative farming methods to projects in Kenya.
With a strong background in electronics, robotics and programming, he has a passion in showing the youth that computers can be used for more than browsing the Internet and playing games.
