Green Festival Speakers
Prior to joining the Department of Environment, Milberg worked with Booz and Company (Katzenbach Partners) in their Chicago Office. While at Booz, Milberg led multiple client engagements across a broad spectrum of industries including work with a Public/Private steering committee focused on developing a holistic energy efficiency retrofit strategy. Milberg has also worked for IBM, focusing in part on identifying and developing a preliminary strategy for how the company could enter and participate in the green economy.
As First Deputy Commissioner, Milberg is responsible for the daytoday operations of the department. Milberg is also charged with leading groups and subcommittees comprised of stakeholders from other City agencies and outside organization to develop strategies and implement programs to positively impact Chicago and the region's environment.
Milberg also serves as a Board Member and Treasurer for EPIC Academy, a contract school in South Chicago.
Milberg holds a bachelors degree (cum laude) from Claremont McKenna College in Economics and Psychology. Milberg received his Masters in Business Administration with concentrations in Strategy and Finance from the Yale School of Management.
