Monica Brown Moss
Monica Brown Moss is a Vegan Chef, Cancer Survivor, and Food Justice Advocate for Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. A certified Health Minister, the foundation of her approach to food and wellness is Biblically based on Genesis 1:29. Monica teaches healthy eating and living classes, works to eradicate food deserts on the Southside of Chicago, teaches sustainable living skills to girls and women in the community and recently established a weekly Zumba class at her church.
Monica is a graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and received a master of education from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York City. She is married to Otis Moss, III and is the mother of Elijah and Makayla. Monica is committed to Green Social Justice; transformative healing through nutrition, enjoying healthy and delicious, living foods, building healthy families and communities and living an empowered and grateful lifestyle.
