Cynthia Snavely


Reverend Cynthia Snavely serves as the minister of the Goodloe Memorial Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Bowie, Maryland, a congregation in process for the Unitarian Universalist Green Sanctuary designation. She is also the administrator for a regional group, Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice, which includes 23 congregations in DC, Maryland, and Virginia who have been working separately and together on environmental education and actions. Rev. Snavely has served Unitarian Universalist congregations in Warrington, PA, Charleston, WV, and Columbia, MD. Reverend Snavely began her ministerial career in 1984 as a United Methodist minister serving congregations in Stroudsburg, Weatherly, and Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania. She is currently secretary of the congregationbased community organizing group Partnership for Renewal in Southern and Central Maryland (PRISCM), a volunteer with CourtAppointed Special Advocates (CASA) Prince George's County, and a member of the Visitors' Board at Bowie State University.
