Cheryl Thomas

A Chicago transplant from northern Indiana, Cheryl is a graduate of Indiana University (2009, B.A. Journalism, Medieval Studies, & English) and The Second City-Chicago (2011, Comedy Writing for the Stage). She is currently a board member, resident writer, and occasional director for Pandemonium Theatre Group and resident writer for the Chicago-based GEMproductions. She has contributed to the sketch comedy/variety television show "Larry Grochowski Show" and to several online publications as a freelance journalist and copywriter. She is currently adapting her most recent play "Dressing for Our Lives" into a screenplay with co-writer/director Gary Mailnowski and helping oversee the development of original music for the film with local composer/hilarious piano man Anthony Clementz. When she's not working, you can find Cheryl at the beach trying to play volleyball, at low-lit dive bar sipping a thick brew or Bloody Mary, biking along the lake, or on the CTA reading a book about medieval history.
