Los Angeles Green Festival is This Weekend!

Get ready, because the Los Angeles Green Festival is this weekend, October 29-30 at the Los Angeles Convention Center!

Discounted tickets are still available online. The deadline for you to purchase your discount online tickets is Friday October 28th at 5pm PST. You can also purchase your tickets at the box office on Saturday and Sunday.

Ride your bike and use the Bike Valet, or take public transportation for FREE admission at the door! Students with ID and seniors also receive free admission. Green Festival is at the Los Angeles Convention Center, located at 1201 South Figueroa Street. If you take the Metro Rail Blue Line, exit at Pico Station on Flower. The Bike Valet is located off of Figueroa St, under the glass awning of the South Hall main entrance. For further directions to the convention center, visit the Travel Page.

The Opening Ceremony
With special appearances from the Morningstar Foundation and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Sponsored by Earth Balance.

Book Signings at the Green Festival Bookstore

See your favorite speakers, pick up a copy of their latest book and get it signed at the festival! Look for the book icon next to speaker listings in the LA Event Guide.

Green Films at the Media Revolution Stage and Sierra Club Green Cinema
Settle in for a special screening of GreenLit: The Movie as well as a fantastic collection of social and environmental shorts produced by the Emmy Award Winning Sierra Club Productions.

Free Yoga Classes
Need we say more? Check out the incredible lineup of Los Angeles’ finest Yoga, Meditiation, Tai Chi, Hoopnotica and Dance teachers in the Yoga and Movement Pavilion. For the little ones, visit the Green Kids’ Zone each day for Yoga for Youth!

Vegan Junk Food and Heavenly Desserts
Made in front of your eyes at the Good Food Stage. Bring a notepad so you can take culinary secrets home with you!

Ooey Gooey Awesome Worms!
On Saturday, join Treepeople’s Dr. Dirt in the Green Kids’ Zone for a hands-on lesson in getting down and dirty with compost! On Sunday, Alegre of Green and Greener will take things a step further with her lesson on making compost tea for your garden. Be sure to bring a container so you can take samples home!

The NextAid Sustainable Groove Stage
Appearances from KCRW’s Jeremy Sole, KPFK’s DJ Nnamdi, Andres Ospina, Crystal Sarada, DJ just JAM and more!

Greener Transportation
Test Drive a brand new Ford Electric Focus at the Ford Pavilion. While you are learning about greener transportation, be sure to vote for your favorite local organization to win a $5000 Community Green Grant. 

Seasonal Celebrations
Check out the 'El Dia de Los Muertos'' alter near the Green Living Stage and pay your respects to the legacies of eco-heroes who have passed. To celebrate Halloween, dress up in your eco-friendly costume and pick up your reverse-trick-or-treating kits in the Green Kids’ Zone and at the Global Exchange booth. Find out about the important of Fair Trade to and child labor and create more economically secure and socially just communities around the world. Also, make yourself a recycled headdress and participate in the One Grain of Sand Fall Harvest Puppet Parade, Calaveras y Semillas!
